aid of keys 2 and 3 (Only possible as long as the value is displayed. After a few seconds, the indicator returns to the current phase.).
If the SET key is pressed once again, the heating-up rate is indicated in °C per hour in red at the bottom for the first program phase
and the indication "Degree" in yellow at the top. Changes can be made with keys 2 and 3 as long as the value is displayed.
If the SET key is pressed one more time, the holding time of the firing temperature is indicated in minutes in red at the bottom for
the third program phase and the indication "Time" in yellow at the top. Changes can be made with keys 2 and 3 as long as the
value is displayed. The heating signal lamp (C1) remains lit while the controlling device is switching on the kiln heating.
Please note: If the kiln is to be set directly at the firing temperature of the second program phase without a prior heating-up phase,
the set temperature in the first program phase is to be set at 20 °C.
Self-optimisation: (To be carried out before firing for the first time!)
Every kiln has individual firing characteristics depending on the amount of objects to be fired, the supply voltage etc. The control-
ling device is provided with a so-called self-optimisation function for adjusting it optimally to a kiln. If the default parameters are not
adequate for your purposes, you can carry out the self-optimisation yourself. First of all set the desired working temperature (e.g.
800 °C) according to the instructions given under "How to use the controlling device" in the second program phase. For this pur-
pose, the kiln must be cold. To start this function, press the SET-MOD key five times, until OFF-TUNE is indicated. By now, your
are in the fifth program phase, the self-optimisation function. If this function is to be carried out, press the key on the left-hand side
(arrow pointing upwards). The display changes from "off" to "on". The self-optimisation is started, which is indicated by a blinking
temperature tune indicator (e.g. 800 TUN). The temperature controlling device then heats the kiln to the set temperature and
memorizes the firing characteristics (heating-up rate etc.) for all subsequent firings.
