Using the Chip Extractor
The dust generated when working with wood can be a health
hazard. Therefore always use a suitable vacuum cleaner or a
dust extractor.
Under some conditions the machine may still kick out some
dust, so keep a dust mask at
hand and use it if necessary.
1. Fit the hand crank to the post on
the planing table (1).
2. Turn the hand crank counter-
clockwise to move the thick-
nessing table (16) to its lowest
position.
3. Place the chip extractor (10) on
the thicknessing table (16). Ensure that the three stop journals
on the chip extractor (10) engage in the three holes on the
thicknessing table (16).
4. Turn the crank handle clockwise until the
chip extractor (10) is firmly secured and

the nut supplied.
6. Connect the machine to a chip extraction
system.
7. Raise the bridge guard (7) and switch on
the machine.
