The spectrum analyzer indicates the levels of each fre-
quency of the program source output at the line output ¥
the line output switch (LINE OUT). The left channel is | B BEZEBSS====2|

When the equalizer switch (EQ IN/OUT) is pressed for
equalization, the spectrum analyzer indicates the fre-
quency levels of the equalized signal.
@ How to check a room's acoustic characteristics
A room's acoustic characteristics can be checked us-
ing a microphone, pink noise generator and tape deck.
1. Connect the microphone to the tape deck.
2. Set the microphone in the listening position.
3. Press the TAPE A or TAPE B button of the input
selector (INPUT SELECTOR) according to the tape
deck being used.
4. Release the line output switch (LINE OUT) to light
the left indicator (Vv).
5. Press the equalizer switch (EQ IN/OUT) to turn the
indicator (=) off.
6. Press the spectrum analyzer switch (LEFT/RIGHT)
according to the channel connected to the
microphone.
7. Connect the pink noise generator to the AUX ter-
minal of the input terminal of the amplifier. Set the
input selector switch to AUX and generate pink
noise.
8. Set the cassette deck to the pause mode, and ad-
just the recording level.
9. The frequency characteristic at the listening point
is indicated by the spectrum analyzer indicator
(SPECTRUM ANALYZER INDICATOR).
10. Press the SOURCE button of the input selector (IN-
PUT SELECTOR). Then, the frequency characteris-
tic of the pink noise can be monitored without
passing through the speaker.
Note:
When a pink noise generator is not available, play a record you are
familiar with, and compare by operating the input selector (INPUT
SELECTOR).
