Never sand materials containing asbestos. Wear personal protection and protective
goggles.
Please note that poisonous dust may be emitted while removing paint. Use suitable inha-
lation protection and ensure adequate ventilation.
If you connect a vacuum cleaner on the multitool, make sure the parts are connected and
used correctly. Using such equipment reduces hazards from dust.
Do not work with moistened materials as wallpapers or in damp areas. Do not soak surfaces, you
want to work on, with liquids containing solvents. Due to scrapping, the heating of the material can
cause toxic fumes.
Secure the work piece e.g. by chucking it in a parallel vice. Hold the machine with both hands and
take care of a firm footing.
Please observe that the multitool and the used blades or sanding pads warm up when using them
for a long time. Do not overload the multitool and allow cooling down.
Should the multitool become damaged do not use it and have it repaired by a professional or con-
tact our customer support department. Do not disassemble the unit or try repairing it yourself.
!
Rechargeable Batteries do not belong in the household garbage. For battery dispo-
sal please check with your local council.
Operation

BEFORE FIRST USE

Remove the multitool and all accessories out of the packaging and check all parts for damage in tran-
sit. Keep packaging materials out of reach of children. There is risk of suffocation!
The multi tool may only be used for dry sanding work. The machine is suitable for working on wood, metal,
plaster, plastic and filler surfaces. The sanding paper pads can also be used for removing rust, old paint and
intermediate sanding. The round and straight cutting blades are suitable for cutting wood and plastics.

CHARGING THE BATTERY

Charge the battery before first use. In contrast to Ni-Cad or MH batteries Lithium-Ion batteries do not
have a memory effect. The capacity of other batteries decreases steadily but the capacity of Lithium-
ion batteries does not decrease. The capacity remains constantly
until the electronics interrupts discharging. Regardless of the char-
ging condition, the battery can be charged at any time without da-
maging the cells.
If desired you can order a second battery under the Item-No. 97 64 31.
1.
Connect the power cord of the charger with a wall socket and
the connecting socket (|6) of the battery.
2.
The control LED (|5) lights up red and indicates that the battery
is charged. When the control LED turns green it indicates that
the battery is fully charged.

INSERTING AND REMOVING THE BATTERY

1.
Slide the battery into the bottom side of the multi tool until the clips of the releasing buttons (|3)
lock audibly. Make sure the battery can be inserted easily. Do not force the battery. The battery fits
only in one position into the multi tool.
2.
For removing the battery, first press both releasing buttons inwards and pull out the battery.
