Nach Ablauf der eingestellten Heizzeit schaltet die
Zeituhr das Gerät automatisch ab. Geräteschalter auf
Stellung 0 (Aus) bringen und Stromzufuhr vom Gerät
trennen.
Diagonalreifen:
Nach 60 Minuten Abkühlzeit pneumatische Druckeinheit
durch Betätigen des Handhebelventils lösen und in Aus-
gangsposition zurückfahren. (Bild 24)
Radialreifen:
Das Gerät kann unmittelbar nach Ablauf der Heizzeit gelöst
werden. EM I - Gerät vom Reifen trennen, aus dem Reifen
ausschwenken und an geeignetem Ort abstellen.
- Reparaturstelle auf Fehler überprüfen
- Abkühlung der Reparaturstelle nicht mit Wasser o.ä.
beschleunigen.
- Weitere Reparaturschritte wie z.B.Pflastereinbau nach
vollständiger Abkühlung gemäß TIP TOP OTR -Repa-
raturanleitung durchführen.
VII. Gerätehandhabung beim Anpressen
von mehrlagigen Pflastern
Um eine ganzflächige, gute Verbindung zwischen Reifen
und Pflaster zu erzielen, ist bei EM-Pflastern sowie größe-
ren Traktor-Pflastern ein Anpressen unmittelbar nach dem
Einbau notwendig.
Durch den beim Anpressen aufgebrachten Druck wird evtl.
beim Einbau eingeschlossene Luft teilweise herausge-
drückt. Somit wird das Pflaster der Reifenform vollständig
angepasst, wodurch die Verbindung Pflaster zu Reifen er-
heblich verbessert wird.
Das Anpressen erfolgt je nach Pflastergröße in mehreren
Schritten, wobei auf eine ausreichende Überlappung zu
achten ist.
Das Anpressen muss grundsätzlich ohne Beheizung der
Heizplatten erfolgen.

Reifen mit Kran oder Gabelstapler in TIP TOP EM-Re-
paraturstand (Art. Nr. 517 3554) einhängen, anheben
bis der Reifen frei beweglich ist, und die Reparatur-
stelle auf 3-Uhr-Position drehen. Sollte kein TIP TOP
EM-Reparaturstand zur Verfügung stehen, den Reifen
mit Kran oder Gabelstapler in Position bringen und mit
mehreren großen Holzkeilen gegen Umfallen oder
Wegrollen sichern.
Sicherheitshinweise:
Verletzungsgefahr durch fallende oder rollende Reifen be-
achten. Reifen nur auf ebene Stellen aufstellen. Verletzung
des Reifens durch Hebe- oder Haltegeräte vermeiden.

15. At the end of the previously set curing time, the machine
is automatically switched off by the timer. Set the
machine switch to 0 = OFF, and disconnect the machine
from the mains.
Cross-ply tyres:
After a cooling period of 60 mins, release the pneumatic pres-
sure unit using the hand lever valve; then move the pneumat-
ic pressure unit back into its fully retracted position. (figure 24)
Radial tyres:
The machine can be detached as soon as the curing time has
run out.
Separate the EM I machine from the tyre, swing it out of the
tyre, and move it to the appropriate place.
- Check the repair for defects.
- Do not accelerate the cooling down of the repair area
using water or similar substances.
- Carry out further repair operations such as patch
application etc. according to the TIP TOP OTR repair
manual, after the repair area has cooled down to
ambient temperature.

VII. Handling of the machine during
the pressing of multi ply patches
EM patches and large tractor tyre patches have to be pressed
on immediately after the patch application, in order to obtain
good adhesion of the patch to the tyre on the whole surface.
The pressure exerted during the pressing operation partly
removes air entrapment which was formed during the patch
application and completely adapts the patch to the contour of
the tyre; thus the adhesion of the patch to the tyre is consid-
erably improved.
The patches are pressed on in several steps depending on
the patch size. Make sure that there is sufficient overlapping
between the pressure areas, and that the whole surface of the
patch is pressed on.
Always press on without heating up the heating plates!

Fit the tyre to the TIP TOP EM tyre repair stand
(ref.no.517 3554) by means of a crane or fork lift, lift the
tyre until it can be moved freely, then turn the repair area
to the 3 o'clock position.
If no TIP TOP EM tyre repair stand is available, put the
tyre into the required position by means of a crane or fork
lift truck, and secure it against falling over or rolling with
several large wooden wedges.
Safety instructions:
Consider risk of accidents caused by large tyres which fall
down or start rolling. Position tyres only on even surfaces.
Avoid damaging the tyre when using lifting or holding
devices.
