9 TROUBLESHOOTING
Problem
Fan does not work properly
Metal component deformed
Flames in the charcoal
container

Probable cause(s)
• Batteries almost empty or inserted incorrectly
• Fan is damaged
• Fan is stuck
• Control knob set to a too low position
Exposure to fire or intense heat
• Too many firelighters
• Food too greasy

Solution(s)
• Replace batteries or re-insert batteries
• Order new fan. See "7.6 Ordering spare parts"
• Free the fan
• Set control knob to highest position and
decrease afterwards
Some deformation is normal and does not require
any actions. If the component is deformed too
much, order a spare part. See "7.6 Ordering spare
parts".
• Just wait, the flames will go away after a few
minutes
• Remove excess oil or trim excess fat from your
food
