100 V/ Line-Signal-Übertrager
Diese Anleitung richtet sich an Installateure, die
ausreichende Fachkenntnisse in der 100-V-Be-
schallungstechnik besitzen. Bitte lesen Sie die
Anleitung vor der Installation gründlich durch und
heben Sie sie für ein späteres Nachlesen auf.
1 Verwendungsmöglichkeiten
Der Übertrager PATL-100 (100 V Public Address
to Line) ist speziell für die Umsetzung eines
100-V-ELA-Signals in ein Line-Eingangssignal ent-
wickelt worden. Damit ist es möglich, an jeder
Stelle der 100-V-Leitung einen Abgriff für einen
zusätzlichen NF-Verstärker mit Line-Eingang zu
erhalten. Der PATL-100 arbeitet passiv, d. h. er be-
nötigt keine Betriebsspannung.
Durch die Kombination verschiedener Um-
steckmöglichkeiten im Innern des Gerätes und
durch ein von außen zugängliches Trimmpotentio-
meter kann der PATL-100 für fast alle elektrischen
ELA-Einheiten angepasst werden.
2 Hinweise für den sicheren Gebrauch
Das Gerät entspricht allen relevanten Richtlinien
der EU und trägt deshalb das

Verwenden Sie das Gerät nur im Innenbereich.
Schützen Sie es von Tropf- und Spritzwasser
sowie vor hoher Luftfeuchtigkeit. Der zulässige
Einsatztemperaturbereich beträgt 0 – 40 °C.

Verwenden Sie zum Reinigen nur ein trockenes,
weiches Tuch, niemals Wasser oder Chemika-
lien.
100 V/ Line Signal Transformer
These instructions are intended for installers with
sufficient knowledge in 100 V technology for PA
applications. Please read the instructions carefully
prior to installation and keep them for later ref-
erence.
1 Applications
The transformer PATL-100 (100 V public address
to line) has been specially designed for transform-
ing a 100 V PA signal into a line input signal. Thus,
it is possible to insert an additional AF amplifier
with line input at any position of the 100 V line.
The PATL-100 operates in a passive mode, i. e. it
does not require any operating voltage.
Due to the combination of various jumper
arrangements within the unit and a trimming
potentiometer accessible from the outside, the
PATL-100 can be matched to almost any electric
PA units.

The unit is suitable for indoor use only. Protect
it against dripping water, splash water and high
air humidity. The admissible ambient tempera-
ture range is 0 – 40 °C.

chemicals or water.

3 Ausgangsspannung anpassen
Werksseitig ist die Steckkombination „A" und „2"
für eine effektive Ausgangsspannung von 1,6 V
bei einer Eingangsspannung von 100 V eingestellt.
Wird ein anderer Pegel benötigt, diesen durch
Umstecken der Brücken im Gerät einstellen. Diese
Modifikation darf nur bei nicht angeschlos-
senem Gerät erfolgen! In der unten stehenden
Tabelle sind die Steckmöglichkeiten angegeben.
Zur Feineinstellung kann der Ausgangspegel
mit dem Trimmpotentiometer neben dem XLR-An-
schluss reduziert werden. Die Ausgangsspannung
ist jedoch immer von der Eingangsspannung ab-
hängig, d. h. sie verändert sich, wenn die Laut-
stärke am ELA-Verstärker geändert wird.

4 Anschlüsse

3 Matching the Output Voltage
In the factory, the combination "A" and "2" of
the jump ers for an effective output voltage of
1.6 V at an input voltage of 100 V is preset. If a
different level is re quired, adjust this level by rear-
ranging the jumpers in the unit. For this modi-
fication, the unit must be discon nected! The
table below lists the possible arrangements.
For fine adjustment, it is possible to reduce
the output level with the trimming potentiometer
next to the XLR connector. However, the output
voltage always de pends on the input voltage, i. e.
it will change with the volume adjusted on the PA
.

1) Vor der Installation des PATL-100 die ELA-An-
lage komplett ausschalten, damit die 100-V-
Lautsprecherleitung des ELA-Verstärkers span-
nungsfrei ist!
2) Als Signaleingang dient die 2-polige Schraub-
klemme. Diese mit der 100-V-ELA-Leitung ver-
binden.
Die Klemme lässt sich zur besseren Hand-
habung aus ihrer Steckverbindung vom Gerät
abziehen und nach dem Anschluss anschlie-
ßend wieder aufstecken.
3) Den Line-Eingang des anzuschließenden Ge-
rätes mit dem XLR-Anschluss des Übertragers
verbinden. Der XLR-Einbaustecker des PATL-
100 ist wie folgt belegt:

1) Prior to installing the PATL-100, completely
switch off the PA system so that the 100 V
speaker cable of the PA amplifier will not carry
any voltage!
2) The 2-pole screw terminal serves as a signal
input. Connect this terminal to the 100 V PA
line.
To facilitate handling, remove the terminal
from its plug-in connection on the unit and re-
place it after connection.
3) Connect the line input of the unit to be con-
nected to the XLR connector of the trans-
former. The configuration of the XLR chassis
plug of the PARL-100 is as follows:
