Brief description of ETS 7200
Depending on the model, the instrument has the following features:
 Temperature measurement within a range of -25 °C to +100 °C
 Very small and compact design – For mobile and industrial applications
 2 and 3 conductor variant with various analogue output signals (mA or V)
 Pressure resistance up to 600 bar and exceptional EMC properties

Scope of delivery

The device is supplied with factory settings and without accessories. These compact
instructions are completed by detailed operating instructions and a data sheet. Both
documents can be found at www.hydac.com (entering "ETS 7200" in the search box).
Assembly
ETS 7200 can be mounted directly onto the hydraulic system via its threaded connection
G 1/4".
Installation
 Ensure the sensor element (inside of the probe in front of the thread) is immersed in the
flow of the fluid.
 The recommended mounting position is vertical with the threaded connection pointing
upwards.
 The recommended tightening torque is 20 Nm
Electrical connection
 However, the requirements of those standards are met only if the sensor's housing has
been correctly earthed by a qualified electrician.
 When fitted into a hydraulic block, earthing the block via the hydraulic system is sufficient.
 In order to reduce the effect of electromagnetic interference:
Make line connections as short as possible.

Use shielded lines

The cable shielding must be fitted by qualified personnel, subject to the environmental

conditions and with the aim of suppressing interference.
CAUTION
► Keep the unit well away from the electrical supply lines of power equipment, as well as from any
electrical or electronic equipment causing interference.
No other than the measured variables and signals specified in the Technical Data may be
supplied to the electrical connections.
Mounting the device
1. Installing the sensor directly into the hydraulic system via the threaded connection.
2. Connecting the sensor according to the instructions (▶ "Pin assignment").
3. Make sure the block is grounded via the hydraulic system.
