OPERATION (FIG. A)
In position CR-A, the sequential thermostatic mixer is closed. When lever CR is turned anti-clockwise,
the mixer starts to deliver cold water and the water will get progressively warmer up to a maximum
temperature of 39°C in position CR-B.
When using a filtration device or similar system at the spout outlet or shower head, the flow rate must be
higher than 4 litres per minute to avoid cross flow between the hot and cold water.

The mixer is pre-set at the factory between 38°C and 39°C with cold and hot water pressures balanced
at 3 bar; HW T° = 65°C ± 5°C and CW T° = 15°C.
• Flow rate regulated at 6 lpm for 1.5 to 4 bar pressure with fixed shower head and 9 lpm with sliding
shower head.
Safety:
• If the hot or cold water fails, the mixed water will shut off within 2 seconds.
• For anti-scalding failsafe the hot and mixed water temperature differential must be at least 15°C.
• Check the anti-scalding failsafe every two months and as often as necessary depending on the water
quality. Shut-off the cold water and check that the hot water stops within 2 seconds.
Note:
The anti-scalding failsafe is active if the cold water supply fails. If, instead of cold water, hot water returns
through a mechanical mixer, there is no anti-scalding safety. We recommend installing a non-return valve
on the cold supply to the mechanical mixer.
INSTALLATION (FIG. F, G & H)
• Pressure: 1 bar (100kPa) to 5 bar (500kPa), we recommend 3 bar (300kPa). Pressure differential
at the inlets: max. 1 bar.
• Mixer: supply with cold and hot water.
• Hot water supply temperature: 55 - 85°C (the difference between the hot and cold water must be at
least 50°C).
