The LEDs on the front panel indicate the following conditions:
• MIDI IN 1&2 and AUDIO: leds flashing = data being received.
• PC LINK:led on = EXPANDER recognised by the computer
• ALL:
leds switching on/off with gradual dimming effect = EXPANDER on but
unused for some time.
• ALL:
leds switching on/off in rotation = downloading contents of Sound Card
into EXPANDER's internal memory.
The EXPANDER has 2 General MIDI sound generators:

accessible by USB Port (USB Speaker 1) and MIDI IN 1

: 16 channels • max. 61 note polyphony
accessible by USB Port (USB Speaker 2) and MIDI IN 2 (channel 1)
The EXPANDER's operating system can be upgraded using a very simple procedure:
simply run the special MIDI upgrade file using a device (computer, sequencer, etc.)
connected to the EXPANDER by USB or by MIDI.
IMPORTANT: wait until the operation has been completed before switching off the
EXPANDER or the device being used to send the file.
