8. CABLING
!
• You should preferably use the screwdriver supplied in order to avoid damage to the devices.
8.1. Which type of cable should I use?
To connect the kits, follow the wiring diagram. The audio kits are wired with three- or two-wire cable, with a twisted cable (e.g. UTP, TPVF, SVV, TVVF, JYSTF). The
diameter of the conductors determines the maximum distance that can be bridged between the power supply and the internal audio unit. For more information,
please refer to the manual of each device.
8.2. Should I opt for two- or three-wire cabling?
For small systems with 1 external unit, the installation can be wired with a two-wire (a and b) cable. Use three-wire cabling (a, b and P for extra power supply)
in all other cases.
In case of two-wire cabling maximum 2 internal units can be called simultaneously, in case of three-wire cabling maximum 4.
Connected:
2-wire, a & b (standard set-up)
Not connected:
3-wire, a, b & P
