8.2 Tare function
The tare function factors in the weight of the container so the scale only shows the net
weight of the object being weighed.
The maximum weighing capacity includes the weighing container. It is recommended to
use a weighing container that is as light as possible.
1. Touch ON/OFF to turn the scale ON.
2. Place an empty measuring container (bowl, basket, etc.) onto the weighing platform. Wait
until the display stabilizes.
3. Touch TARE. The display will show the value "0.000".
4. Place the object to be weighed onto the measuring container.
à
The weight shown will be the net weight of the object you are weighing.
à
To continue weighing without the measuring container, remove the container from the
weighing surface and touch TARE.
5. Touch ON/OFF to turn the scale OFF.
8.3 Counting
This function determines the quantity of equal weight objects in batches.
1. Touch ON/OFF to turn the scale on.
2. Place (25, 50, 75 or 100) objects on the weighing platform.
3. Touch and hold PCS until the number "25" appears on the display.
4. Touch MODE repeatedly to set a reference unit number (25, 50, 75 or 100).
5. Touch PCS. The display will show the number of units.
6. Add or remove objects from the weighing platform.
7. Touch MODE to return to normal weighing mode.
à
The reference value will be stored until you set a new value.
8.4 Calibration
The scale was calibrated at the factory. If accuracy fails, first try replacing the batteries.

RECONDITIONS
a
A standard test weight of 50g is required for calibration.
a
The weighing platform must be empty.
1. Touch ON/OFF to turn the scale on.
2. Touch and hold MODE until the display shows "CAL".
3. Touch MODE again. The display will alternate between "CAL" and "50.000 g".
4. Place the calibration weight on the weighing platform.
à
Calibration is completed when "PASS" appears on the display. This may take a few
moments.
à
If a calibration error has occurred, "FAIL" will show on the display. Repeat the calibra-
tion process.
5. Remove the weight.
6. Touch ON/OFF to turn the scale OFF.
9 Cleaning and care
Important:
– Do not use aggressive cleaning agents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions.
They damage the housing and can cause the product to malfunction.
– Do not immerse the product in water.
1. Disconnect the product from the power supply.
2. Clean the product with a dry, fibre-free cloth.
10 Disposal
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be disposed of in the
household waste. At the end of its service life, dispose of the product in accord-
ance with applicable regulatory guidelines.
Remove any inserted (rechargeable) batteries and dispose of them separately
from the product. You as the end user are required by law (Battery Ordinance) to
return all used (rechargeable) batteries. Disposing of them in the household
waste is prohibited.
Contaminated (rechargeable) batteries are labeled with this symbol to indicate
that disposal in the domestic waste is forbidden. The designations for the heavy
metals involved are: Cd = Cadmium, Hg = Mercury, Pb = Lead (name on (re-
chargeable) batteries, e.g. below the trash icon on the left).
Used (rechargeable) batteries can be returned to collection points in your muni-
cipality, our stores or wherever (rechargeable) batteries are sold.
Before disposal, the exposed contacts of batteries must be fully covered with a
piece of adhesive tape to prevent short-circuits. Even if batteries are depleted,
the remaining energy can become dangerous in the event of a short-circuit
(bursting, severe heating, fire, explosion).
You thus fulfill your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the environment.
