Mounting
Please note the following handling notes:
Mount the encoder in such a way that its function is not adversely in-
fluenced.
Mount encoder with condensed water outlet (if supplied) in such a way
that the outlet is facing downwards.
Do not operate the encoder without the screw cap at the rear side
Foreign objects may penetrate into the encoder housing possibly caus-
ing malfunctioning (protective class IP 66 is no longer valid!).
Insert the motor shaft in such a way that the hollow shaft is prestressed
when operating, i.e., it is pulled out of the encoder housing (see ex-
ample and dimensioned drawing further below)
Fix the encoder to the motor/fan case or an intermediate flange using 6 screws M6.
For the hole arrangement and the minimum length of the screws refer to the di-
mensioned drawing.
The shoulder of the shaft connection shank should be at least 1.5 mm away from
the hollow-shaft coupling in order to achieve the necessary prestress (see the
mounting example).
