The Viper TTL transmitter included is used together with the Viper TTL receiver
(sold separately) or the Modus 600RT Speedlight (sold separately). The Viper
TTL transmitter wirelessly control three separate groups A, B or C a multiple of
Modus 600RT Speedlight's or other Speedlight's fitted with the Viper TTL receiver
• You must ensure that you have the correct Viper TTL transmitter brand type (Canon,
Nikon or Sony) e.g. A Viper TTL transmitter "Canon" will only work with a "Canon"
type Viper TTL receiver or Modus 600RT
• The Viper TTL transmitter is powered by any AA battery types which are readily
available in the market

Multi : Stroboscopic Flash
With stroboscopic flash, a rapid series of flashes are fired. It can be used to
capture multiple images of a moving subject in a single photo.
• For "Sony" version the Multi stroboscopic mode is only available when used with
the hähnel Modus 600RT Speedlight.
High Speed Sync
With high-speed sync (FP flash), the flash can synchronise with all shutter
speeds
• For "Nikon" version ensure also that the camera setting is set to 1/320's (Auto
FP) or 1/320's (Auto FP). Both Viper transmitter and Camera menu must be set to
HSS. Refer to camera manual for more info.
Second Curtain Sync
In second curtain sync the flash flashes right before the shutter closes
• For "Nikon" version, the Second Curtain Sync (Rear-curtain sync) is not controlled
from the Viper TTL. To enable Second Curtain Sync set in the camera menu to
Rear-curtain sync. Refer to camera manual for more info
• For "Sony" version the Second Curtain Sync is controlled by the Menu setting of
the camera. Refer to camera manual for more info.
High Speed Sync
With high-speed sync (FP flash), the flash can synchronise with all shutter

• For "Nikon" version ensure also that the camera setting is set to 1/320's (Auto
FP) or 1/320's (Auto FP). Both Viper transmitter and Camera menu must be set
