Adjusting the deflection force for robot spindles with axial deflection
Before pressure is applied to the deflection the robot spindle must be manually pulled to
the foremost position (max. spindle length). Failure to do this before pressure is applied
can result in injury. See figure 4.
The pressure at the precision pressure regulator must be increased slowly, starting for 0 bar, in
0.1 bar increments. Avoid excessive deflection forces in order not to damage the spindle.
The maximum permissible pressure at the precision pressure regulator is 2.5 bar. The
deflection force can also be adjusted via one of the three vent holes on the housing. In this case,
we recommend installing a silencer with throttle (article no. 9361705), as the deflection in this case
constantly blows off air.
Different deflection forces are achieved depending on the mounting position of the machine and
the pressure applied.
