RC-Cornet
For physical therapy of lower respiratory tract diseases
using oscillatory positive expiratory pressure (OPEP)
therapy in tracheotomized patients with cannula.
RC-Cornet PLUS TRACHEO is a variant of RC-Cornet
®
The RC-Cornet
tracheotomized patients with a cannula. This set comes with a
tracheal tube instead of a mouthpiece. The products differ only
in this piece. The In-structions for Use for RC-Cornet
thus also apply for RC-Cornet
Special instructions for use
The cuff must be inflated for respiratory therapy with RC-Cornet
PLUS TRACHEO. Please note that the instructions for use vary in
point III on page 18 and 19 and are replaced with the following
instructions:
The initial pressure applies to both settings I and II
Level A: 7 cm/H
Level B: 9 cm/H
IMPORTANT: Always use the RC-Cornet
under the supervision of nursing personnel in resistances A and
max. B, as these can produce expectoration with large amounts
of sputum. Proper suctioning should be performed afterwards.
For neuromuscular or coma patients be sure that after attaching
the therapy device, a tone sounds immediately when exhaling.
One alternative with lower initial pressures is the RC-Cornet
PLUS with RC-Tracheal mask (page 24).

Breathe in and out through RC-

the amount of secretion increases,

the cannula to cough up or extract
