AUTOMATIC SHUT-OFF

If the appliance is idle for more than 2 minutes (no program is started) and no buttons
are pressed the oven will automatically switch back to standby mode: the control
panel gets dark with only the ON/OFF button flashing; any paused program will
be cancelled completely. Due to this feature, you are ensured that the oven will not
run on uselessly, if you have forgotten to switch off the appliance.

Setting the Cooking Time and Temperature

When selecting the cooking time or temperature for adjustment via the assigned but-
ton, the selected parameter will be flashing for approx. 30 seconds. Within this time
period, the flashing parameter can be adjusted via the selection buttons. Thereafter
the currently set value is accepted automatically and stops flashing.

Locking the Control Panel against Unintended Touch

Due to the automatic lock of the control panel, the oven will not respond to any unin-
tended touch of the control panel, while a program is running.
• Immediately after starting the oven, the key area will be locked partly against
unintended touch. However, the ON/OFF button, START/PAUSE button, light
button, and fan button are still available for approx. 20 seconds. This period of
time is indicated via the flashing arrow on the display area. You may unlock the
complete key area by activating the pause function (see: 'Pause Function').
• 20 seconds after starting the oven, the complete control panel will be locked,
the arrow on the display area will be illuminated continuously and the complete
key area will not respond to any short touch. To unlock the control panel: Hold
the ON/OFF button pressed until a beep sounds and the arrow on the display
area flashes again. Thereafter, the START/PAUSE button, light button, and fan
button are available again. For completely unlocking the key area, press the
START/PAUSE button to activate the pause function (see: 'Pause Function').

PRE-DEFINED PROGRAMS

The Design Bistro Oven Bake & Grill comes with 8 pre-defined programs and an additio-
nal place in memory for a user-defined program (Custom). The factory settings of the pre-
defined programs are optimized for various types of dishes and foodstuffs. Nonetheless,
you can change these settings just before starting the program.
