6.2. VOX
6.2.1. TO USE THE RADIO'S BUILT-IN VOICE
CONTROL (VOX):
1. Make sure that the radio is programmed for VOX.
(Contact the radio dealer for more information.)
2. Press and hold the PTT button, then switch the radio
on. Keep the button pressed until a tone from the
radio indicates VOX function is activated.
6.2.2. SWITCH VOX OFF:
1. Switch the radio off.
2. Switch the radio on again without pressing the PTT
button.
NOTE: While transmitting with VOX, you should hear
your own voice in the headset.
6.3. INTERNAL/EXTERNAL SWITCH (IF SUPPLIED)
(Figure A)
The switch (A:6) controls if the speaker and microphone
in the radio or in the headset are connected.
Different radios handle this differently:
•
External (EXT): Receiving sound through the
adapter.
•
Internal (INT): Receiving sound through the radio
speaker.
