3.1 Switching On / Off (standby)
Press the <Standby> button on the remote control or on the device to switch on the radio.
Press the button again to put the device into standby mode. To switch it off completely, disconnect it
from the power supply.
3.2 Navigate in the menus
You can navigate through the menus by pressing the <Up/Down/Left/Right> buttons on the remote
control. Pressing once on the <OK> button confirms the selection. These operating steps can also be
carried out on the device using the <TUNE> knob. Turn the knob to navigate through the menus,
confirm a menu item by pressing the knob.
3.3 Entering passwords, search texts, etc.
Use the <Up/Down/Left/Right> to select the corresponding numbers and/or letters individually
and confirm the selection by pressing <OK>. To correct an incorrect entry, please go to the <BKSP>
field and confirm with the <OK> button on the remote control. This will delete the last entry. Use the
"CANCEL" field to cancel the entry completely. If your selection is complete, please navigate to the
"OK" field and confirm the selection by pressing the <OK> button.
3.4 Adjusting volume and "Mute"
Youcan adjust the volume by pressing the <VOL-> and <VOL+> buttons on the remote control or by
turning the <VOLUME> knob on the device. Pressing the <Mute> button mutes the radio. Another
pressing of the button restores the original volume.
3.5 Additional information
By repeatedly pressing the <INFO> button, depending on the source and station, additional informa-
tion can be displayed:
• Description
• Name of the station, the current program, content, topics, etc.
• Genre
• The program style (genre) of the station is displayed.
• Signal level and signal error
• Bit rate
• Channel information
• Today's date and current time
In the "FM radio" and "DAB+ Digital radio" modes, information on reception strength, stereo mode,
RDS signal (only FM) and preset memory is available on the lower right edge of the Display. If the
corresponding display is missing, the information is not available.
3.6 Setup wizard
At the first Start the Setup Wizard starts automatically.
The setup wizard runs in English.
You can skip the wizard and call it up again later in German.
3.7 Setting the menu language
At the first start-up all available menu languages are listed. Select the desired language with the <UP/
DOWN> button and confirm with <OK>.
