compliance with the regulation (EU) 2016/425. The full

Helmet
The protective helmet is tested and approved
in accordance to the European standard EN
397:2012+A1:2012, with approval for usage in low
temperatures, -30°C.
Notified body involved in the conformity assessment is:
Number 0402, RISE - Research Institutes of Sweden,
Box 857, 501 15 Borås, Sweden.
The chin strap is not fulfilling release requirements
specified in EN 397:2012+A1:2012. The chin strap
releases at a force above 250 N.

Hearing protection

The products meet the Essential Health and Safety
Requirements as laid out in Annex II and conforms with
quality assurance of the production process, module
D, laid out in Annex VIII of the PPE-regulation (EU)
2016/425. CE markings are in accordance with EN

Visor
The visor is tested and approved in accordance to the
European standard EN 166:2001, in the temperature
interval of -5°C -(+)55 °C.

Sweden,Box 857, 501 15 Borås, Sweden.
Chin guard
The chin guard has been tested to provide some
protection to the lower face area that can reduce the
risk of laceration in the event of a kickback according
to test method Method 5702:2022, with approval for
usage in low temperatures (-30°C). This also means
that the whole system of PE 10H SmartGuard with
all system parts have been tested and approved for
usage in low temperatures (-30°C) according to Method
5702:2022. Note that the visor has been tested in a
different temperature interval according to the personal
eye protection standard EN 166:2001. Refer to
page 6 .
The chin guard has been tested in a simulated kick-back
with a power cutter corresponding to:
• Output power: 3.7 KW
• Weight: 11 kg
• Max blade speed before kickback: 4200 rpm (Due
to the impacting break force on the blade in the
event of a kickback the remaining blade speed when
potentially reaching an operator is lower: 3300 rpm).
• Blade: Husqvarna Varicut S45 14
This has resulted in input values to Method 5702:2022
of an impact energy of 36,6 Joule and blade speed of
3300 rpm.
Note:
Kick-back is an unpredictable event and the
reactive forces involved can differ significantly. No PPE
can offer full protection against injury
Notified body has approved that test method and result
fulfill applicable requirements in PPE regulation. Notified
body involved in the conformity assessment is:
