Commissioning

1. Remove transport packaging.
2. Check if all items have been
delivered as per section 4.2.
3. Check the IR LD 1.0 for dam-
ages. If there are damages, con-
tact Bosch customer service.
4. Read this operators manual.
5. Charge the IR LD 1.0 (refer to
Sec. 7.3.3) using the provided
charging block and cable. An
alternate charger certified
according to local guidelines
with output rating of 5V DC
1A minimum may be used;
however, charging time may be
increased.
6. Once connected to the charger,
the IR LD 1.0 LCD will illumi-
nate to indicate that the battery
is charging (see Sec. 7.3). If
the display does not illumi-
nate, check the power source
or verify charger compatibility
and/or connection.
7. Once fully charged, as indicat-
ed on the display, the IR LD 1.0
is ready for use (see Sec. 7.3).

6.1

Preparing for use

Press the Power button to
power ON the IR LD 1.0 (see
Fig. 2; item 5).
 The start-up screen will display
the model number and soft-
ware version (see Fig. 3).

 A splash screen will then dis-
play all icons (see Fig. 4).

 To prepare the sensor, the
IR LD 1.0 will automatical-
ly complete a 50–60 second
warm-up cycle. The warm-up
cycle is indicated by an hour-
glass surrounded by a series
of concentric rings illuminating
from the center outwards (see
Fig. 5).
