Open the CC–2M
Disconnect the auxiliary supply voltage from both poles.
Open the CC–2M. To open the device, you must undo all six cover screws with a
screwdriver.
Configuration the CC–2M
The CC–2M is configured by means of jumpers. If both interfaces FO1 / FO2 are used in
synchronous mode no changing of jumpers is required.
The jumpers FO1 and FO2 serve to set the mode of transmission between the protection
data interface and communication converter. In the synchronous mode the transmission rate
is 512 kBit/s and the data are FM0 coded. The protection data interfaces of the devices
7SA52 / 7SA6 or 7SD5 / 7SD61 can be connected directly. The transmission rate in the
protection device must be set to 512 kBit/s. In the asynchronous mode the data are
transmitted bit transparent with a transmission rate up to 115.2 kBAUD. The two interfaces
can be set independently, i.e. one interface can be used as a synchronous interface and the
other one as an asynchronous interface.
The following figure shows the jumpers FO1 and FO2.
The jumper presetting of FO1 and FO2 is "SYNC" and so there is a presetting for operation
with the protection data interfaces of the SIPROTEC devices.

Before opening the CC–2M, it is absolutely necessary to isolate it
from the auxiliary supply voltage at all poles! Energized parts pose
a potentially lethal hazard!
