The D4 frame structure is composed of 12 frames with 193 bits each. The first bit of any
frame is reserved for synchronisation (see following table). If no frames are recognised, the
second bit of any timeslot in any frame will be set to "0".
Frame No.
The external indication of an error on the E1 / T1 transmission path is done via the GOK
contact (Life contact) and via the red error LED. The signalling is coupled with the "Red
Alarm". If synchronisation is lost or if communication is lost, the error will be signalled after
2.5 s by means of GOK relay dropout and illumination of the red error LED.
