10. Installing possible accessories
10.1. Installing the hazard light (Fig. 15)
Install the standard hazard light in a clearly visible spot, for example on a
door/gate pillar. To do so, remove the screw from the rear of the housing
and pull the socket away downwards. The socket can now be secured (fas-
tening material not supplied). Details of the electrical connection are shown
in the connection diagram (Fig. 13).
10.2. Installing accessory controls
(not supplied)
Install the key switch, inside switch or coded lock in such a way that the
pivot area of the door/gate is clearly visible.
Install the inside switch out of the reach of children at a height of at least
1.6 m. The inside switch must not be accessible to the general public. De-
tails of the electrical connection are shown in the connection diagram (Fig.
13).
10.3. Connecting light barriers
Light barriers should be installed at a height of 40 cm in front of or behind
the door/gate, out of its movement area. If there is an object in the scanning
area, the closing or opening process will not be completed. If an obstruc-
tion moves between the light barriers whilst the door/gate is moving, the
drive will stop automatically.
Details of the electrical connection are shown in the connection diagram
(Fig. 13).
Note: Any conventional 24 V light barrier may be used.
10.4 Installing a rod antenna
The rod antenna can be connected to the GND/ANT terminals (Fig. 13 +
14) instead of the standard wire antenna. The connection cable for the rod
antenna must be fed into the control box through one of the cable grom-
mets.
Important note. If the control box is installed inside a building, it is a good
idea to install a rod antenna outside the building.
11. Starting up (Fig. 14)
Note: In the event of malfunctions, disconnect the door/gate opener from
the power supply briefly and then repeat the start-up procedure from the
beginning.

11.1 Installation mode

Caution
In installation mode the drives operate at maximum power for as long as
you press the appropriate buttons "OPEN and "CLOSE / START" (Fig. 14).
Important. The controller does not automatically detect the limit position of
the drives in this mode. Motor 1 must be installed on the door/gate panel
that must close first. A stop strip is recommended for this door/gate panel
(Fig. 12 / Item 6).
The manufacturer cannot accept any liability for damage caused in
installation mode.
Note: In installation mode it is possible to adjust the drive units manually so
that mechanical installation work on the door/gate pillars and on the
door/gate is easy to carry out.
If a problem occurs with the mechanical connection of the drive units, for
example, whilst the system is in installation mode, it must be rectified im-
mediately before continuing with installation mode.
Note: Before exiting installation mode, both door/gate panels must be
opened so that you can later start to set the limit positions.
Proceed as follows to enter installation mode (Fig. 14)
1. Switch on the power supply, insert the plug.
2. Press the TEACH-IN button (29), hold it and at the same time press the
RESET button (33) until the LED (35) is lit.
3. Release the buttons.
4. The spindle nut on the drive can be moved to the required position us-
ing the "OPEN" (32) and "CLOSE / START" (31) buttons. As soon as
you release the "OPEN" (32) and "CLOSE / START" (31) button, the
drive will stop. When you have set motor 1 so that it opens the
door/gate panel easily, you can switch to motor 2 by pressing the
TECH-IN button (29) briefly.
5. Now adjust motor 2 as described above and make any changes that
are required on the mechanical system.
6. Then press the TEACH-IN button (29) until the LED flashes and a clear
acoustic signal sounds. Installation mode has now been exited and the
teach-in process for the limit positions has been activated.
Notes
The teach-in process must always be carried out afterwards. If the
power supply is switched off before the teach-in process has been
started or completed, the teach-in process will be activated automat-
ically when the power is switched on again.
Now secure the mounts on the door/gate panels or door/gate pillars
permanently (if you have not already done so).
11.2 Teach-in process to find the limit positions of the door/gate
panels
Notes
The teach-in process is always activated after exiting the installation
mode (the red LED adjacent to the teach-in button flashes); therefore
section A below can be omitted.
The limit positions remain stored even after a power failure.
The required power to open and close the door/gate is detected auto-
matically for the teach-in process. This function is for your safety and is
designed to prevent injuries and damage.
The power required may change if the door/gate is modified or the out-
door temperature changes (winter). If the tolerance for the required
power is exceeded, the drive will stop automatically and change direc-
tion.
Note: In this case a new teach-in process with the higher operating
load must be carried out (greater resistance against the direction of the
movement).
A) Setting the position of the door/gate panel (Fig. 14)
1. Switch on the power
2. Start the teach-in process by pressing the TEACH-IN button (29)
briefly. The LED (35) will flash and a clear acoustic signal will sound.
B) Setting the limit position: Drive 1 (Fig. 14)
1. Press and hold the "CLOSE / START" button (31) until the required
"CLOSE" position has been reached.
2. Press the "TEACH-IN" (29) for approx. 2 seconds.
3. The LED (35) will light up briefly and the acoustic signal will go silent.
The LED (35) will then flash and the acoustic signal will sound again.
4. Press and hold the "OPEN" button (32) until the required "OPEN" posi-
tion has been reached.
5. Press the "TEACH-IN" (29) for approx. 2 seconds.
6. The LED (35) will light up briefly and the acoustic signal will go silent.
The LED (35) will then flash and the acoustic signal will sound again.
C) Setting the limit position: Drive 2 (Fig. 14)
1. Repeat the process described in B) 1 – 4 in the same order.
2. Press the "TEACH-IN" button (1) for approx. 2 seconds until the LED
(5) goes out and the acoustic signal is silent. The LED may flicker
slightly. This is normal and is not an error. This concludes the teach-in
process for the door/gate position and the drive is now ready.
