Slowly turn the tuning control (5) until the pointer on the
measuring scale (1) rests at or near "0". Then release the red
button.
Note: Press the red calibration key (4) at any time during operation
to reset the pointer to 0 automatically. Press the calibration key for
defined conditions of the indicator.

Test and Operation


Do not wear any metallic rings, watches or other metal jewellery
when operating the metal detector.

Locate a position on the ground which is free from any metal
objects.
 Put a sample of a metal object (e.g. golden ring or a coin) to the
ground which is supposed to be detected by the metal detector.

Use the ON/OFF switch (6) to turn on the metal detector. A
buzzing sound is permanently audible. Setup the master volume
of the buzzer sound with the volume control (6).
 Hold the search coil (8) in a distance of 3-5 cm over the ground.

Slowly move the search coil over the area where the sample has
been placed, sweeping the search coil in a side-to-side motion.
The search coil always should be moved parallel to the ground.

Move the device slowly when searching for objects. If you move
the metal detector too quickly you may miss objects.

As soon as the metal detector locates an object, the pointer
moves to the left or to the right depending on the consistency of
the object. And the volume of the buzzing sound changes.

If ferrous metal has been detected, the
pointer moves to the left. The buzzing
sound gets lower. If non-ferrous metal
has been detected, the pointer moves
to the right and the buzzing sound gets
louder.
