Setup an angle so that the search coil runs parallel to the
surface. Then tighten the locking knob hand tight.

Using Headphones

Connect headphones or ear phones (not included) with a 3.5 mm
TRS headphone plug to the headphone jack (3). The internal
speaker is deactivated as soon as a TRS plug is inserted into the
headphone jack.
Use headphones for better perception of the measuring results
under loud ambient noise.
Using headphones also saves battery power of the metal detector
and ensures longer measurement periods.
Warning:
Excessive sound pressure from headphones can cause hearing
loss.
Do not use headphones in congested areas.

Tuning / Calibration

The metal detector can distinguish between ferrous metals (iron,
steel) and non-ferrous metals (gold, silver, copper, platinum,
aluminium, lead, zinc, etc.).
Hold the metal detector in a comfortable position.
Set the discrimination control DISC (2) to the middle position.
Turn the ON/OFF switch (6) clockwise to switch on the metal
detector. This control dial is also used to setup the master
volume of the metal detector. The further the knob is turned
clockwise, the louder the measurement / test tone will be at
positive pointer movements.
Note: There is no sound in case the tuning control (5) is set to the
minimum.
Hold the search coil (8) at least 30 cm away from the ground.
Press and hold the red calibration key (4).
