Paint Jet Adjustment

 For a wide jet (horizontally), align the nozzle (5) vertically.
 For a high jet (vertically), align the nozzle (5) horizontally. Use this setting for
spraying larger areas.
 Use flat-nose pliers to adjust the nozzle if necessary.

Using

1. Before starting to work, check the trigger (7) to make sure it
moves freely. The paint flow regulator (10) is completely shut
by factory default. Turn the paint flow regulator counter clock-
wise (for approx. 15 turns) to open it. Turn the fan regulator (6)
counter clockwise until the first thread pitch is visible.
2. Open the air flow regulator (9) by tilting it completely to the left.
3. Connect the spray gun to the compressed air supply. The air
should be regulated and filtered.
4. Setup the air pressure according to the parameters supplied
with the paint to be processed.
5. Note the parameters given by the manufacturer of the coating materials to be
used. Pour the material to be processed in the paint container (3) and carefully
close the container with the lid. Pay attention to the air hose when painting.
Hold the hose firmly with one hand while operating the spray gun with the
other hand. The hose must not be bent. Do not step on it, as this will lead to
formation of droplets.
6. Press the trigger (7) and perform test runs on some test pieces. This way you
can determine the optimum amount of paint and the different paint jet adjust-
ments.
 The movement speed of the spray gun depends on the setting of the paint
flow regulator. With little paint, move the spray gun slowly. With plenty of
paint move it faster. Do not spray in an arc on the surface and do not inter-
rupt spraying as this will lead to uneven or too little paint distribution onto
the surface. The general recommended spraying distance is about
15 – 20 cm.
 If the finish is too dry, use the air flow regulator (9) to reduce the air supply.
Turn the air regulator steplessly clockwise to reduce the max. possible air
pressure.
 If the finish is too wet, reduce the amount of paint with the paint flow regula-
tor (10).
