Charging the Batteries

Charge the battery before first use.
In contrast to Ni-Cd or Ni-MH batteries Lithium-ion batteries do not have a
memory effect. The capacity of other batteries decreases steadily but the
capacity of Lithium-ion batteries does not decrease. The capacity remains
constantly until the electronics interrupts discharging.
Regardless of the charging condition, the battery can be charged at any time
without damaging the cells.
1. First connect the charger with a wall socket. Make sure the voltage
corresponds to the type label on the battery charger.
2. Then connect the ratchet wrench to the charger (24). The charge socket
(18) is located at the lower part of the hand grip. During charging the red
charge indicator LED (26) shines. Be sure to connect the charger with the
wall socket first before you connect the charger to the ratchet wrench,
otherwise it may damage the batteries.
3. When the batteries are fully charged, the charge indicator LED shines
green. Then remove the charging cable.
Before first use, the ratchet wrench should be fully charged once.
Charging time for an empty battery is approx. 3-5 hours.

Operating the Ratchet Wrench

1. Insert the desired socket onto the ¼" drive of
the ratchet wrench.
2. For tightening and releasing screws or nuts
insert an appropriate bit using a suitable bits
adaptor (not included).
3. Setup the rotational direction of the ratchet
wrench by means of the rotational direction
switch (25). Turn the switch counter clockwise, the ratchet wrench will
operate clockwise when the power button (17) is pushed. Turn the switch
clockwise, the ratchet wrench will operate counter clockwise when the
power button is pushed.
Note: If you can not release very tight-fitting screws and bots with the drive of
the ratchet wrench, you can release them by hand. When start button is not
pressed, the drive is locked, so that the ratchet wrench can be used as a
"mechanical" ratchet.
