NOTE
N.B.: The transmission ratio selector can only be set when the
positioner is open. Therefore check this setting before closing the
positioner.
The plastic housing is metal lined to increase the electromagnetic
compatibility (EMC) against high frequency radiation. This screen is
connected electrically to the threaded bushes shown in figure 3-12,
M-chapter-3.4 page 56.
The specified noise immunity and noise emission are only ensured if
the bus shield is fully effective.
WARNING
To dissipate disturbance pulses, the position controller components must
be connected low impedance to a potential equalization line (ground
potential).
See our grounding concept in figure 3-5.
The specified fail safety and spurious emission are only guaranteed
when the shield/grounding is fully effective.
When assembling the cable to the positioner 6DR59... note that the
following signal pairs (twisted pairs) must be formed to avoid chatter:
Out.- / Out.+ and In.- / In.+ and GND/POS and V_REF / GND.
Mounting the cable in the plastic housing
1. Insulate the cable as shown in figure 3-4.
2. Open the housing of the position controller by loosening the four
screws in the cover.
3. Push the prepared cable through the cable gland.
4. Screw the cable gland tight.
5. Connect the wires as shown in figure 2-3, page 52
