this button
to disconnect
the power
of all
equipment connected to the SWITCHED
outlets on
the AC OUTLET UNIT.
The equipment can then be turned on and operated
with the RM-34 remote commander.
Q OUTLET CONTROL button and indicator
Press this button to turn on or off the power to the
equipment
connected
to the SWITCHED
outlets on
the AC OUTLET UNIT. When the power of the equip-
ment is turned on, the indicator will light up.
@ GRAPHIC EQUALIZER button and indicator
Press this button when using a graphic equalizer. The
EQ indicator will light up. Press it again to disengage
it.
Note: If this button is pressed when a graphic equali-
zer is not connected, the sound will not be heard.

& VARIABLE/FIXED switch

Set this switch to VARIABLE to control the volume
with the VOLUME control buttons of the AVH-555ES
and to FIXED to control it with that of the amplifier.
Note: If the volume control of the amplifier is set to
the minimum with this switch set to VARIABLE,
the sound cannot be heard.
To adjust the volume with the VOLUME
control
buttons of the AVH-555ES, set the volume cont-
rol of the amplifier to a normal listening level.

By connecting the supplied remote control cord to
the remote control connectors
of a video cassette
recorder, TV or audio equipment with the fal mark, you
can control the equipment remotely by pointing the
commander
at the REMOTE
SENSOR
of the AVH-
SSSES
or you
can
control
the AVH-555ES
itself
remotely through the remote sensor of a TV with the
mark.

When VIDEO 1 of the video INPUT SELECT but-
ton is pressed, the power signal flows to the
video cassette recorder connected to OUT 1 and
when VIDEO 2 is pressed, the power signal flows
to the video cassette recorder connected to OUT
2.
If a TV is connected to OUT 1 or OUT 2, the power
signal flows to either OUT 1 or OUT 2, regardless
of the video INPUT SELECT button pressed.
