FEATURES
The AVH-555ES is a hi-fi audio/video selector that pro-
vides you with maximum
enjoyment from the best of
audio-video represented by digital audio sources such
as CD (compact disc) and PCM (pulse code modulation)
equipment, and by hi-fi video sources.
System selector for the AV era
In tine with the development
of avatome connecting
several AV (Audio Video) units, the AVH-555ES is enrich-
ed with 13 input/output terminals.
It has 5 for audio
equipment, 5 for video equipment and 1 for a monitor
TV. It also has a terminal
for connecting
a graphic
equalizer and a PCM digital audio processor and, on the
front panel, video input/output terminals for a portable
video cassette recorder.
Simply by pressing the corresponding
INPUT SELECT
button, a particular piece of connected equipment can
be selected, turned on and operated with the supplied
RM-34 remote commander.
AC OUTLET UNIT separate from the main unit
The AC OUTLET UNIT, independent of the main unit to
avoid interference with audio or video signals, can be
located on almost anywhere you desire.
Equipment whose total power consumption is less than
the wattage indicated on this unit can be connected to
these outlets.
Enjoyment of various AV sources
Audio tape dubbing, video tape editing, listening to or
recording an audio sources while viewing a video pro-
gram, are all possible.
By connecting
a PCM
digital
audio processor, PCM recording and playback are also
possible.
OPERATING VOLTAGE
Before connecting the AVH-555ES to the power source,
check that the operating voltage of your unit is the
same as the local power line voltage.
The model for European countries (Type 1) operates on
220 V ac.
The
USA
and
Canada
model
(Type
2) operates
on
120 V ac.
The model for other countries (Type 3) operates on 120,
220 or 240 V ac. The voltage selector is located at the
bottom. If the selector must be reset, first, make sure
that the ac power cord is disconnected, and then set the
selector to the appropriate voitage.
