interrupts discharging. Regardless of the charging condition, the
battery can be charged at any time without damaging the cells.
If desired you can order a second battery under the Item-No.
97 64 31.
1. Connect the power cord of the charger with a wall socket and
the connecting socket (|6) of the battery.
2. The control LED (|5) lights up red and indicates that the battery
is charged. When the control LED turns green it indicates that
the battery is fully charged.

INSERTING AND REMOVING THE BATTERy

1. Slide the battery into the bottom side of the multi tool until the clips of the releasing buttons
(|3) lock audibly. Make sure the battery can be inserted easily. Do not force the battery. The
battery fits only in one position into the multi tool.
2. For removing the battery, first press both releasing buttons inwards and pull out the battery.

USING THE SANDING PAPER PADS

Choose the sanding paper pad according to the material being
worked. Use sanding pads with a 40 resp. 60 grain for rough
sanding and on uneven surfaces. Use the finer grain of 120 for
smoother finish.
1. Remove the dust protection rubber caps (|4) from the
bottom of the machine. Store the rubber caps in a save
place. The rubber caps are strictly required for other
application!
2. First mount the dust extraction adaptor (|15) on the
machine, as shown in the figure. The dust extraction
adaptor has to be firmly mounted with three hex screws on
the machine. For tightening the hex screws use the small,
included hex key (|17). Do not overtighten the hex screws.
Afterwards mount the sanding pad holder (|11) on the
adaptor and tighten the tool retaining bolt (|7) with the
included T-type hex key (|18).
3. Attach the sanding paper pad on the sanding plate and
firmly press the whole sanding pad down.
4. First, insert the extractor nozzle of the dust extraction hose
(|16) into the dust extraction adaptor (|15) and lightly turn
the hose in order to lock. The dust extraction adaptor and
the hose are equipped with bayonet lock. Connect the other
end of the hose with the vacuum cleaner. Always use the
dust extraction hose and a dust mask when sanding
hazardous materials.
5. Push the ON/OFF switch (|1) forward and switch on the
vacuum cleaner. Hold the machine firmly with your hand
when using and whenever possible, move the machine in a
steady motion parallel to the surface. By doing so, you will
avoid grooves or hollows on the surface. Do not use
additional pressure on the machine while working.
The machine's own weight develops sufficient pressure for
sanding. Additional pressure does not increase the sanding
rate and excessive pressure will overheat the machine.
