handle.
BEFORE OPERATION:
Assembling the safe guard (See Fig. A)
WARNING: If any parts are missing,
damaged or broken, do not operate your
hedge trimmer until all damaged parts have been
replaced or repaired. Failure to do so could result
in serious personal injury. DO NOT USE WITHOUT
FRONT HANDLE AND SAFETY GUARD.
Assembling the Front Handle (See Fig. B1, B2,
B3)
NOTE: Handle screws should be facing the
protective shield. If the handle is assembled
incorrectly, the tool will not power on.
Checking the battery charge condition (See Fig.
C1)
NOTE: Fig. C1 only applies for the battery pack
with battery indicator light.
The battery level can be known from the battery
indicator light by pressing the button beside the
lights. Before starting or after use, press the button
beside the power indicator light on the battery pack
to check the battery capacity.
Charging the battery pack (See Fig.C2)
Your battery pack is partly charged and needs to be
10
fully charged before first use.
EN
More details can be found in charger's manual.
WARNING:The charger and battery pack are
specially designed to work together, so do not
attempt to use any other devices. Never insert or
allow metallic objects into your charger or battery
pack connections because of an electrical failure
and hazard will occur.
Installing and Removing the battery pack (See
Fig. D)
1.Slide the battery pack into the battery
compartment until you hear a click.
2.Press the battery release button to release battery
pack from your tool.
NOTE: After recharging, insert the battery pack into
tool's battery port. A simple push and slight pressure
will be sufficient.
OPERATION
Starting and stopping (See Fig. E1, E2)
Allow the cutting blades to reach full speed before
cutting. When operating, keep the cutting blades
away from people and objects such as walls, large
stones, trees, vehicles, etc.
Top cutting (See Fig. F1)
Use a wide sweeping motion. A slight downward tilt
of the cutting blades in the direction of motion gives
the best cutting results.
NOTE:If the blade stalls, immediately stop the
trimmer. Release the two Switch Levels (5 & 6)
before attempting to clear jammed debris from the
cutting blades.
Wear gloves when trimming thorny or prickly
growth.
Do not attempt to cut stems that are too thick for
the cutting blade.
Side cutting (See Fig. F2)
When trimming the sides of the hedge, begin at
the bottom and cut upwards, tapering the hedge
inward at the top. This shape will expose more of
the hedge, resulting in a more uniformed growth.
NOTE: The front switch lever can be activated
on three sides, giving you many choices for a
comfortable grip. Before cutting an area, inspect
it first and remove any foreign objects that could
become thrown or entangled in the blades. Always
hold the trimmer with both hands and with the
blade away from you before turning it on.
When trimming new growth, use a wide sweeping
action so that the stems are fed directly into the
blade.
Lubricating the Cutting Blade (See Fig. G)
NOTE: It is important to use only the recommended
standard lubricating oil (WD-40) to avoid damage to
the blade.
