STEP 3: FITTING THE CANVAS
1. Fitting the canvas to the front and rear end
walls.
Place the canvas with the zipped door on the
desired end wall. The zip should be closed for
fitting. The canvas for the rear end wall has no
door. The canvases are both fitted in the same
way.
e. Locate the strap along the edge of the
canvas for the front end wall. The strap is visible at
the height of the stay and corner foot pieces. The
ends of the strap stick out by the corner foot pieces.
Securely knot the strap ends in the corner supports.
f. Loosen the 5 stay ends from the end wall.
g. Fold the edge of the canvas around the end wall (Fig. J).
h. Insert the stay through the hole in the canvas edge and place the strap outside the stay end. Affix the
stay to the end wall again (Fig. K1, K2, K3).
i. Loosen the strap from the one corner foot piece and thread it through the tensioner (13) (Fig. K4).
Ratchet the tensioner lever forwards and backwards a few times to catch hold of the strap (Fig. K5). Hook
in the tensioner's S-hook in the corner foot piece and ratchet the tensioner lever forwards and backwards
to tighten the strap (Fig. K6).
j. Repeat for the strap on the other side.
k. One person should stand on a stool or similar at the highest point of the roof, whilst another person
should tension the strap at the corner foot pieces.
l. The person at the highest point checks that the canvas and strap are correctly placed over the stay and
around the edge of the end wall.
m. Check when the strap is tightened that the door is correctly angled and reaches all the way to the
ground.
