1 Intended use
This charging cable is designed to charge electric and hybrid vehicles at charging stations
equipped with an IEC 62196 Type 2 connector. It features a simple and intuitive design – simply
connect the plug to the charging station and then connect the charging plug to the vehicle.
Charging is fully automatic.
This product must only be used in protected outdoor areas. For safety and approval purposes
you must not rebuild and/or modify this product. Using the product for purposes other than
those described above may damage the product.
In addition, improper use can cause hazards such as a short circuit, fire or electric shock. Read
the operating instructions carefully and store them in a safe place. Only make this product
available to third parties together with its operating instructions. This product complies with

5 Safety instructions
Read the operating instructions carefully and especially observe the safety
information. If you do not follow the safety instructions and information on
proper handling, we will assume no liability for any resulting personal injury
or damage to property. Such cases will invalidate the warranty/guarantee.
5.1 General information
This device is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.
Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. It may become a dangerous play-
thing for children.
Before connecting the cable, read the information in the „Technical data" section.
Always observe the safety information and operating instructions of the connected vehicle.

5.2 Handling
Handle the product carefully. Impact, shocks or a fall from a height of more than 1 metre
can damage the product.
Always perform a visual inspection before use. In particular, check for dirt and damage on
the charging plugs, the cable and the control box.
Make sure that the cable is not pinched, bent, twisted, rubbed against sharp edges or oth-
erwise subjected to mechanical strain. Avoid thermal stress on the cable. In particular, keep
the cable away from heat sources (such as ovens, radiators and fireplaces).
Do not pull the plug out of the EV input and the outlet when it is under load.
Always use the grips on the plugs to disconnect the plugs from the sockets. Never remove
the plug from the socket by pulling on the cable.
Do not pull on the charging plug with force. This may produce dangerous arcs, which can
result in death or serious injury.
Do not allow foreign objects (especially metal objects) to fall into the charger plug or the
connection pins.
DO NOT insert fingers or other body parts or objects into the charger plug.
Ensure that the plug is fully inserted and engaged.
To protect the charging connection from humidity and dirt, replace the protective caps after
each use.

5.3 Operating environment
Do not expose the product to any mechanical stress.
Protect the product from extreme temperatures, strong jolts, flammable gases, vapours,
and solvents.
Protect the product from direct sunlight.
If it rains while the vehicle is charging, make sure that water does not penetrate the outlet or
the Vehicle charging socket. If the plugs have become wet, remove the mains fuse before
you pull the plugs out of the sockets, or if this is not possible, first unplug the plug from the
socket and then from the Vehicle charging socket.
Do not use the charging cable outside its normal operating range of -30 to +50°C.
To avoid injury, children or people with reduced mental capacity are strictly prohibited from
approaching the charging station.
Forced charging is strictly prohibited if the electric vehicle or charging station malfunctions.
5.4 Operation
Consult an expert when in doubt about the operation, safety or connection of the device.
Use the product in protected outdoor areas. Keep it away from moisture, liquids and direct
sunlight.
Before connecting the cable, read the information in the technical data section and these
operating instructions.
Always observe the safety information and operating instructions of the connected vehicle.
If it is no longer possible to operate the product safely, stop using it and prevent unauthor-
ised use. DO NOT attempt to repair the product yourself. Safe operation can no longer be
guaranteed if the product:
– Is visibly damaged,
– is no longer working properly,
– has been stored for extended periods in poor ambient conditions, or
– has been subjected to any serious transport-related stress.
The IP54 protection rating is only guaranteed if the vehicle connection also has a protection
rating of at least IP54.
When two accessories are inserted into a vehicle connection with a protection rating of less
than IP54, the lower protection level of the two accessories will apply.
5.5 Mains voltage
Never attempt to modify the electrical components of the product. Risk of fatal
electric shock!
Always ensure that the mains plug is properly connected.
Discontinue use of the device if any electrical components are damaged.
Do not modify the electrical components.
Only connect the product to a normal mains socket connected to the public supply network.
Before plugging in the product, check whether the voltage stated on the product complies
with the voltage of your electricity supplier.
Only connect to fully functioning and suitable infrastructure (16 A mains socket). If in doubt,
consult a specialist. Make sure that the fuse is not overloaded and that no other loads are
connected to this fuse.
We recommend that you consult an approved electrician to check if your electrical outlet/
circuit is suitable. Older cabling or heavily „loaded" circuits can cause problems, as vehicle
chargers are high-performance devices rated at up to 16 A / 3.6 kW.
Connect the product to an easily accessible socket.
Never connect or disconnect the product if your hands are wet.
Do not touch the product if there are any signs of damage, as this may cause a fatal electric
shock! Proceed as follows:
– First, cut off the power supply to the mains socket to which the product is connected
(switch off the corresponding circuit breaker or remove the safety fuse, and then switch
off the FI safety switch so that all poles of the mains socket are disconnected).
– Then unplug the product from the mains socket.
A damaged product may only be repaired by the manufacturer, a workshop commissioned
by the manufacturer, or a similarly qualified person so as to prevent any danger.
For safety reasons, always disconnect the product from the power supply during thunder-
storms.
Unplug the product from the mains socket if you do not plan to use it for an extended
period of time.
Do not open the product. It does not contain any components that require maintenance
by the user.
Opening the product may result in an electric shock. Return the product to customer ser-
vices for repair if it malfunctions.
Do not use the product if there are signs of damage on the exterior, e.g. on the housing,
buttons or sockets, or if the product does not work properly. If in doubt, send the product to
a qualified technician or customer services for inspection.
Before connecting a load, ensure that you pay attention to the technical data, especially
the maximum permitted switching capacity of the relay and the type of the connected load.
All load data refers to resistive loads! Do not load the device over the specified power limit.
Overloading may destroy the product or cause a fire or electrical accident.
