Special features

The welding controller features the following specifics:
• Control must run in an Ethernet_IP network.
• Control is prepared for the control system PSQ6000 XQR.
• 24 VDC Stop Circuit open / no 24V, fault is automatically reset.
• The DC link voltage is verified outside the sequence, the fault message is
automatically reset.
• Steppers are reset:
all 32 electrodes have the counter value „0".

Control Stop

Same function as opening Hardwire E-Stop Contacts. No interruption of 24VDC to
I/O.
(since version -204:) „high" signal = ready to run, „low" signal = E-stop
7.1.2

Function Initial dressing

When this function is activated for a specific electrode a „Tip Dress Request" will
come immediately after the „Tip replaced" input signal.
7.1.3

Serial Input E_00 = Enable Weld

When the input is active during an Initiate Weld command, the timer will run a
sequence with weld current.
When the input is low during an Initiate Weld command, the timer will run a
sequence without weld current. In that case there will be a fault message at the
end of the sequence.
7.1.4

Function Weld Circuit Degradation

If the functionality „Weld Circuit Degradation" is enabled, the controller cross-
checks at the end of each weld schedule the weld current-to-phase angle ratio to
a programmable reference value.
Is the actual value out of a programmable tolerance, the controller generates an
error message.
To have this functionality running reliably, even at a nominal value change, e.g.
readjustment, the actual current value will be projected to a max value of 100% of
the power based on the actual phase angle for a start, and then compared with
the reference value of a 100% power.
Due to an influence of the fluctuations in mains voltage on this value also, the
tolerance band needs to be bigger than the system immanent fluctuations in
mains voltage.
