Important information
Read through these operating instructions carefully prior to operating the fan for the first time and store it in a safe
place. Pay particular attention, in your own interest, to the safety information in order to avoid accidents and
malfunctions. Improper use, application or insufficient cleaning and care can impair safety and result in danger
for the user. cilio cannot accept any responsibility for injuries or damage attributed to improper use.

Safety instructions

· Include this instruction manual with the appliance if it is passed on to other people.
· If the appliance is used or handled in an inappropriate manner, we cannot be held responsible for any ensuing
damage. This appliance is intended for domestic use only. Do not operate this appliance outside.
· Check whether the type of current and the mains voltage comply with the information on the rating label.
· Refrain from touching the fan or the power plug when your hands are wet or moist.
· Only connect the device to a properly installed power socket. Do not use a multiple socket, which is already
being used to run other appliances. The plug and cord must be dry.
· Ensure that the electrical outlet used is easily accessible, in order to quickly unplug the appliance in case of an
emergency.
· If possible, do not use an extension cord. If this cannot be avoided, unwind the extension cable completely and
observe the performance limits of the respective cable.
· The fan may only be operated when it is monitored and used for the intended purpose.
· Only use the fan when it is completely assembled and in perfect condition.
Attention: Objects such as fingers, needles, pins, etc. must never be inserted through the basket grille
into the interior of the device. Do not touch the moving parts of the fan during operation and make sure
that long hair cannot get caught in the wing. Risk of injury!
· This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory
or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction
concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Cleaning and user
maintenance shall not be made by children, unless they are older than 8 and supervised. Keep the appliance
and its cord out of the reach of children less than 8 years.
· Children shall not play with the device.
· Never operate this device with an external timer or a separate remote control system.
· Only operate the appliance on non-flammable, flat, stable and sufficiently heat resistant surfaces and not near
water sources, other hotplates, gas flames or other sources of heat and out of the reach of children.
· Ensure sufficient free space above and near the appliance and a minimum distance of 50 cm must be maintained
to other objects. Never cover the fan!
· Do not use the device in particularly dusty, wet and cold or damp rooms. In addition, avoid strong sunlight on
the device.
· Avoid smashing or kinking the power cord or having contact to hot surfaces or liquids and abrasion on sharp
edges and never wrap the cable around the device.
· Do not allow the power cord to dangle and place the device in a way that no one can fall over the cord and/or
extension cord.
· Do not carry or move the appliance as long as it is in operation. Instead of pulling the cable to move it, lift the
device and then place it where you want it.
