16. Troubleshooting

The following table shows fault symptoms and describes remedial measures in the event of your machine failing to
work properly. If you cannot localise and rectify the problem with this, please contact your service workshop.

Motor does not start
Pump does not suck

Possible cause
No mains voltage
Pump impeller jammed and
Thermal sensor has tripped
Suction valve not in the water
No water in the pump housing
Air in the suction line
Suction valve leaking
Filter (suction valve) clogged
Max. suction height exceeded
Suction height too high
Filter is dirty
Water level dropping rapidly
Pump performance reduces due to
hazardous substances
Motor overloaded, friction too high
due to foreign bodies

Remedy
Check mains voltage
Disconnect the pump from the power
supply, dismantle and clean the hoses and
connections
Put the suction valve in the water
Fill the pump housing with water
Check the suction line for leaks
Clean suction valve
Clean filter
Check suction height
Check suction height
Clean filter
Position suction valve lower
Clean pump and replace worn parts
Dismantle pump and clean, avoid suctioning
foreign bodies
