8. Unpacking

• Open the packaging and carefully remove the prod-
uct.
• Remove the packaging material, as well as the pack-
aging and transport safety devices (if present).
• Check whether the scope of delivery is complete.
• Check the product and accessory parts for transport
damage. In the event of complaints the carrier must
be informed immediately. Later claims will not be
recognised.
• If possible, keep the packaging until the expiry of the
warranty period.
• Familiarise yourself with the product by means of the
operating manual before using for the first time.
• With accessories as well as wearing parts and re-
placement parts use only original parts. Replace-
ment parts can be obtained from your dealer.
• When ordering please provide our article number as
well as type and year of manufacture for your prod-
uct.
m Attention!
The device and the packaging material are not
children's toys! Do not let children play with plas-
tic bags, films or small parts! There is a danger of
choking or suffocating!

NOTE!
The pump can also be installed for domestic water
supply indoors. To minimise vibrations and noises, the
pump should be connected to the pipe network with
flexible hoses. It is also recommended to use anti-vi-
bration material, e.g. to put a rubber layer between the
pump and the machine base. Ensure that the pump
is securely fastened using screws that fit through the
holes in the machine base (7).

Installing a suction line (fig. 15)
1. Screw the hose connection piece (13) onto the
suction connection (10) by hand.
2. Now connect a suitable suction hose (plastic hose
at least 19 mm (3/4 ")) to the hose connection
piece (13). Or use a threaded connection on the
connection piece (1 inch thread).
3. Lay the suction line from the water pick-up point to
the pump in a continuously rising slope.
Notes:
• Ensure that the suction line is not laid above the
pump height; air bubbles in the suction line delay
and prevent the suction process.
• Install the suction and pressure lines in order to
avoid a mechanical pressure on the pump.
• Place the suction line deep enough in the water to
prevent the pump from running dry if the water lev-
el drops.
• Check the suction hose for leaks, to avoid sucking air.
• Avoid sucking in foreign bodies (sand etc.).
Filling the pump with water (fig. 16)
m NOTE!
In order to reduce the start-up time of the pump and
to prevent air being sucked in, the pump must be filled
with water beforehand!
1. Therefore, the suction hose should be installed to
prevent water from flowing out of the suction con-
nection (10).
2. Use the opening of the pressure connection (1) to
fill the pump with water. Alternatively, you can fill in
water through the opening of the pre-filter cap (11).
3. Slightly tilt the pump now and then, to avoid air be-
ing trapped or open the ventilation screw (8) and fill
up with water until water comes out of this ventila-
tion screw. Afterwards, attach the ventilation screw
again.
4. Now, attach the pressure line as described in the
next point.
Installation of a pressure line (fig. 1 and 2)
1. Screw the desired hose connection piece onto the
suction connection (1).
2. Connect the hose that matches your hose connec-
tion. The pressure hose should have a diameter of
at least 19 mm (3/4 ").
3. During the suction process, the consumers in the
pressure line (e.g. nozzles, showers, toilet flush,
etc.) must be fully opened so that the air in the suc-
tion line can escape freely.
