Cleaning mineral deposits
To keep your coffee maker operating efficiently, you should regularly clean away the mineral deposits left
by water, depending on the water quality in your area and the frequency use the appliance. Proceed as
follows:
1. Fill the water tank with water and descaling agent to the MAX level. The ratio of water to descaling
agent should be 4:1; for details, please refer to the instructions for use of the descaling agent. Please use
a "household descaling agent". You may also use citric acid instead of the descaling agent, in the ratio of
one hundred parts of water to three parts of citric acid.
2. Press down the power button, the red indicator will light up. Wait until the blue indicator turns on.
3. Position a container on the cup gate grid.
4. Press the coffee button and allow the liquid to flow for 1 minute. Then stop the flow by pressing the
coffee button again.
5. Wait for 20 minutes with the machine turned on.
6. Press the coffee button until all of the water is used up.
7. Rinse the tank thoroughly and fill it with clean water. Press the coffee button and hold it until all water is
used up.

This is not a fault, it is a normal settling of the pressure
control valve.
