Basic Safety Instructions

• The appliance is intended to be used in household only and
similar environments like:
– staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments,
– in farm houses,
–by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments
– on bed and breakfast type environments.
• Repairs of Cloer electronics appliances should be carried out only
by authorized Cloer specialist dealers or by the Cloer customer
service. Improper repairs can involve substantial dangers for the
user. Moreover, this will void your warranty claims.
• This appliance can be used by people with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge
if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of
the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
• Do not use the appliance outdoors.
• Protect the appliance from humidity (splashing water or rain). Do
not immerse the appliance in water.
• Do not use the scale if the housing is cracked, broken or deformed.
• Do not let the kitchen scale fall, do not hit the kitchen scale and not
expose it to any strong vibrations or magnetic fields.
• Store the batteries where they are inaccessible for children and animals.
• If a child or an animal swallows a battery, seek immediate medical
attention from a doctor or vet.
• Non-rechargeable batteries must not be charged.
• Store batteries in a cool, dry place. Do not expose batteries to excessive
heat (such as direct sunlight) and do not dispose of them in fire.
• Different batteries types, or new and used batteries, must not be
used together.
• Observe the expiry date of the batteries. Batteries used beyond their
expiry date may leak and cause damage.
