4.1

Installation information

f Insulate all pipework inside the building and wall ducts
f
with vapour diffusion-proof material to prevent formation
of condensate.
If the brine distributors are also fitted inside the building,
insulate these too with vapour diffusion-proof material.
Use only pipes and fittings made from corrosion-resistant ma-
terials.
Material losses
!
To prevent damage to the flow meters, flush and fill the
heat source system only in the flow direction.
f Pressure test the entire heat source system prior to com- f
missioning, after filling with brine mixture.
f After pressure testing the system, retighten the locking
f
ring fittings on the brine manifolds.
4.2 Balancing the flow rates
The flow rates in the individual brine circuits can be balanced
by means of the flow meter and regulating equipment installed
in the brine flow distributors.
f Fully open the shut-off valves in the brine return f
distributor.
f Remove the cap from the flow meter. f
f Then adjust the flow rate, using the hand wheel on the f
shut-off valve of the brine return distributor and the scale
on the indicator tube. The flow rates are correctly adjust-
ed when the display elements inside the indicator tubes
are at the same level.
f After all brine circuits have been adjusted, correctly re-
f
place the caps to protect the flow meters.

4.3 Maintenance and inspection

4.3.1 Pressure gauge
f Check the operating pressure of the heat source system at
f
regular intervals. If the operating pressure drops, top up
the system with premixed brine.
Material losses
!
The operating pressure in the heat source system
must not exceed the maximum pressure specified in
the data table.
4.3.2 Venting the heat source system
A large volume of air enters the pipework when the heat source
system is filled with brine.
It is therefore necessary to carefully vent the heat source sys-
tem, particularly during the time immediately after commis-
sioning.
