1. generAl informAtion
SWK 2002 kettle is designed for water boiling.
All information and technical details provided in this User manual is up to date at the time of the packaging of the
kettle (hereinafter referred to as the appliance) at the factory. No disputes arising from the damages caused by non-
observance of these rules, the use of non-genuine spare parts or repairs in a place other than the authorized service
centers can be found for the customer.
The customer may receive technical support in due time in accordance with the Terms of warranty.

in this instruction.

1.3. sAfety PrecAutions And PotentiAl risks
This appliance is not designed for use by persons (including children) with limited physical, sensory or mental abili-
ties, as well as persons without experience and knowledge, except if they are under the care of a person responsible
for their safety or instructed thereby on how to use the appliance.
• Before using the appliance, make sure that the voltage indicated on the nameplate on the appliance matches the
socket in your house, do not use it if the technical specifications of the appliance do not match the parameters of
your electrical grid.
• Do not let the cord hang over the edge of the table or bar, and avoid contact of the appliance with a hot surface.
• Do not put the appliance on or next to a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
• Do not use the appliance without at least the minimum water level ("min." mark) to avoid damages to the heating
elements.
• Make sure that the appliance is placed on a solid and flat surface out of the children's reach when used. This will
prevent sudden overturning of the appliance and its damage.
• To avoid fire, electric shock, or injury, do not immerse the cord, electrical plugs, or the appliance in water or other
liquids.
• Avoid contact with the steam from the spout during the water boiling or immediately after boiling. Do not open the
lid of the appliance in a rush to avoid scalding.
• Always pour the boiling water slowly and carefully, without turning over the appliance too quickly.
• Do not touch the hot surfaces. Use the handle of the appliance.
• Great care must be taken when moving the appliance containing hot water.
• The appliance is not a toy. Do not let the children play with it.
• This appliance is designed for household use only. Do not use outdoors.
• The use of accessories not recommended by the manufacturer of the appliance may result in fire, electric shock,
or injury.
• Pull the plug of the kettle from the socket if it is not going to be used and before cleaning. Let the appliance cool
down before putting on or taking off parts.
• To turn it off, lift up the "On/ Off" key, and then pull the plug from the socket.
• If the power cord is damaged, it has to be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or a similar qualified spe-
cialist, to avoid danger.
• Do not use the appliance for the purposes other than its intended use.
• The appliance may only be used with the base provided in the package.
• If the appliance is overfilled, boiling water can spill out.
• Always make sure that the lid is closed and do not open it when the water is boiling. Scalding can occur if the lid is
opened during the boiling cycles.
• Protect the connector from water.
