Intended Use
 The automatic helmet is designed to protect the eyes and face from sparks,
splashes and alternative radiation under normal welding conditions. The
auto-darkening filter changes from a light to a dark state when an arc is
struck.
 Intended use also includes compliance with the instructions.
 Any use going beyond this (other media, use of force) or unauthorized
changes (conversion, no original accessories) can trigger the determination
of the hazard and is considered improper.
Before using for the first time
Take the welding helmet out of the packaging. Dispose of the packaging
material. Plastic bags etc. can be dangerous for children.
Remove the protective film from the outer and inner cover glass.
Before you start welding, first adjust the headband according to your
requirements.
Adjust the headband to the head circumference
 Use the adjusting wheel (5) on the back of the headband to adjust the length
of the headband. To widen the headband, turn the dial counterclockwise. To
reduce the circumference, turn the adjusting wheel clockwise. Wear the
helmet while adjusting. The headband should not be too tight.
 Open the headband buckle (3) and adjust the length of the upper headband.
 Adjust the swivel stop using the notches (4). To do this, loosen the knobs (2)
and insert the locking pin of the swivel stop into the appropriate opening.
Then tighten the knobs again. Loosen the length adjustment of the rotary
knobs (2) and place the headband in a notch further to the front or to the
rear.
 Test the fit of the helmet by raising and lowering the helmet. The helmet
should sit comfortably and should not move back and forth while lifting and
lowering.
Blackout table
The blackout filter is equipped with blackout levels from 9 to 13. The darkening
level must be set manually before starting work. The response time from dark
to light and the switching time from light to dark can be found in the technical
data.
