ENG ORIGINAL INSTRUCTIONS
CAUTION.
Do not vacuum inflammable or explosive fluids;
for example, petrol, oil, alcohol or solvents. Do not
vacuum hot or burning dust. Do not operate the
vacuum cleaner in rooms where the danger of an
explosion exists. The vacuum cleaner is intended
for vacuuming air and water mixtures. The vacuum
cleaner is not to be used as a water pump. Always
disconnect the vacuum cleaner from the mains
before removing the motor unit, emptying the vacuum
cleaner and fitting or removing the dust bag or filter.
WET VACUUMING.
Attention! For wet vacuuming, use only the supplied
foam filter (8). Remove the dust bag. The dust bag
may not be used for wet vacuuming. Fit the foam
filter. Connect the hose, the brush or the crevice
nozzle and if required the extension tubes. Move the
power switch to the 'I' position to start vacuuming
(20). Once the container is full, the float closes the
suction opening, performance drops noticeably and
the motor sound changes. Switch off the vacuum
cleaner immediately, disconnect it from the mains
and empty the container. Always remove and clean
the foam filter after using the vacuum cleaner for wet
vacuuming. Clean the foam filter with running water
and/or a brush and allow it to dry out completely
before fitting it to the vacuum cleaner. Empty the
container, remove any dirt present and allow it to dry
out completely before you re-attach the motor unit.
DRY VACUUMING.
Fit the dust bag. Ensure that the HEPA filter is clean
and dry. Connect the hose, the brush or the crevice
nozzle and if required the extension tubes. Move the
power switch to the "I" position to start vacuuming
(20). Once the dust bag is full, performance
drops noticeably. Switch of the vacuum cleaner
immediately, disconnect it from the mains and
remove and replace the dust bag. Always remove
and clean the HEPA filter after using the vacuum
cleaner for dry vacuuming. Clean the HEPA filter by
carefully patting it and cleaning it with a fine brush
or hand brush before fitting it to the vacuum cleaner.
AUTOMATIC DUST EXTRACTION.
The integrated power take off socket is designed
for use with power tools with a maximum power
(W). Therefore, first ensure that the power (W) of
your power tool does not exceed the power (W) of
the vacuum cleaner. Connect the vacuum hose to
your power tool dust extraction outlet. Plug your
power tool into the power take off socket. Move
the power switch to the 'II' position (22). Start your
power tool. The vacuum starts after approximately
5 seconds. After completing your job stop the
power tool as normal. The vacuum cleaner stops
after approximately 10 seconds.
EMPTYING THE CONTAINER.
Disconnect the vacuum cleaner from the mains.
Open the container latches on either side of the
vacuum cleaner and remove the motor unit (2).
After dry use, empty the container into a dustbin.
After wet use, empty the container into a drain.
Remove any dirt present and allow the container
to dry completely before you re-attach the motor
unit. Replace the motor unit and fasten the latches.
MAINTENANCE.
The dry-wet vacuum cleaner has been designed
for a long working life with minimum maintenance.
Optimum use depends on correct care of the
dry-wet vacuum cleaner and regular cleaning.
To prevent accidents, always unplug the dry-
wet vacuum cleaner from the power source
before cleaning or performing any maintenance.
The dry-wet vacuum cleaner may be cleaned
effectively using compressed air after each use.
If compressed air is not available, use a brush to
remove dust from the dry-wet vacuum cleaner.
Motor ventilation vents and switch levers must
be dept clean and free of foreign matter. Do not
attempt to clean by inserting pointed objects
through openings. Certain cleaning agents and
solvents damage plastic parts, among them
are gasoline, carbon tetrachloride, chlorinated
cleaning solvents, ammonia and household
cleaners containing ammonia. Do not use any of
these to clean the dry-wet vacuum cleaner. Should
excessive sparking occur, have a Werku
repair service exam and/or replace the carbon
brushes.
