OVERVIEW
USE
1. Before using the unit, make sure that the operating voltage of the unit corresponds to
the voltage of the electric network.
2. Insert the plug into the socket.
3. Press ON/OFF button for 2–3 seconds. The LED screen will illuminate, and the tong
will readily heat up and be ready for use within seconds.
4. Section damp or dry hair evenly, and comb through before styling. Pressing the
spoon lever, place the curling tong midway up the hair section and spread hair evenly
between spoon and barrel. Once hair is in place, carefully let go of the curl release so
that the hair is held securely between spoon and barrel. Hold the curling tong in place
until the hair is fully heated this will be almost instant. When holding the curling tong
always ensure fingertips are placed away from the hot plates.
5. Gently slide the curling tong down to hair ends. To avoid crimped ends, make sure
they are securely wound under the spoon in the direction of the desired curl. Keep the
strands of hair smooth whilst you work, to avoid ridges half way down.
6. Wind the hair as far as you want it curled, being careful not to let the tong touch the
scalp. Hold in place for 5–8 seconds depending on the texture and length of your hair.
For tighter, bouncier curls, roll less hair. For loose, free flowing curls, roll more hair.
7. As with all curling tongs that reach salon high temperatures, avoid frequent use to
minimize damage risk to your hair.
8. Default temperature when turning on is always at 160°C.
9. After use, press ON/OFF button for 3–5 seconds, the LCD screen will go off, indicating
that the appliance is cooling down.
10. When the Professional Curling tong has completely cooled, clean with a damp, soft
cloth. Do not use chemical cleaners.
