First start

Before using the product for the first time and before using it in everyday life, read the following instructions.
This chapter provides information on the correct installation, connection and use of the product.
Hint: Items not included in the delivery are sold separately.
Hint: Before connecting the product to a power outlet, make sure that the power cord is not pinched or
damaged. Also make sure that the power output is within the voltage range of the product.

First-Time operation

To put the Rocktab S500 into operation, proceed as follows:
1. Install SIM card and memory card
2. Charge your tablet
3. Start the tablet
Install SIM card and memory card (Rocktab S508 / Rocktab S510)
1. Make sure the device is turned off.
2. Place the tablet on a flat surface with the back facing up.
3. Unlock both battery latches by sliding them to the side. Small lock symbols on the latch indicate
whether it is currently unlocked or locked.
4. Now remove the cover
5. Now unlock the battery and remove it
6. On the side is the card holder. Using your fingernail or small pliers, now pull the card holder out of
position.

LED is green when the battery is fully charged and
the tablet is still connected to the power supply.
HINT
Damage of the display
Do not place heavy objects on the computer, this could damage
the display.
