7.7.2 Display test
Firstly, a number of symbols appear in the display.
Press "Enter" to show all the points in the display.
Press "Enter" once more to check that no points are
activated. Press "Enter" in order to continue with the
automatic testing.
7.7.3 LED - Buzzer test
The three LEDs which indicate the number of casset-
tes in operation light for approx. 2 seconds. Thereaf-
ter, the test automatically switches to a buzzer test.
Check that the buzzer sounds.
7.7.4 IR-test cassette
The lamps in the IR-cassette light up. Check that all
the lamps are lit. The test is limited to max. 10
seconds. Press "Enter" in order to continue with the
automatic testing.
7.7.5 Ventilator test cassette
The cooling ventilator in the cassette will now start.
The sound from the ventilator confirms that it is
functional. Press "Enter" in order to continue.
Note! In cases where the mobile dryer is equipped
with two cassettes, steps 7.7.4 and 7.7.5 are repeated
for the second cassette.
7.7.6 Test of laser pointer
Direct the pointer towards an object within 0,3-1 m/
1-3,3 feet. Make sure that the red laser point circle is
visible on the object.
7.7.7 Temperature sensor test
Direct the temperature sensor towards an object with
a known temperature. Check that the temperature
level shown on the display does not deviate more
than ±3°C/±3°F. Press "Enter" in order to continue.
7.7.8 Distance sensor test
Direct the distance measurer towards an object wit-
hin a distance of 0,3 - 1m. Check that the value on the
display agrees with the actual distance. A deviation
of ±3 cm is acceptable. Press "Enter" in order to
continue. Check that ACC is over 80.
7.7.9 Secondary voltage test
This test checks the operating voltage. The value
should be between 12 and 17 volts. Press "Enter" in
order to continue.
7.7.10 EEPROM test
Check that the software is OK. If "Passed" is shown
on the display, press "Enter" to finish the test. If not,
see trouble shooting diagram

Final heating
Select the desired drying programme in accordance
with the process described in the operating instruc-
tions. Confirm by pressing "Enter" so that the pro-
grammed values appear.
Press down "Enter" for approx. 5 sec. until the first
value (preheating time) flashes.
Change the flashing value with the cursor up/down
keys until the appropriate value is obtained. Confirm
the desired value by pressing "Enter".
Next, value no. 2, temperature rise C/min (F/min)
will start to flash. Repeat the above-mentioned
procedure. Max. temperature rise is 30
(54 o F/min). Confirm the set value by pressing
"Enter".
Thereafter, value no. 3 (max. temperature for pre-
heating) will start to flash. Repeat the above-mentio-
ned procedure. Confirm by pressing "Enter".
Repeat the procedure in order to change the final
drying values.
After "Enter" has been pressed for the last time and
all values have finished flashing, the values are now
saved in the memory.
7.9 The pyrometer function and turning off the
pyrometer (temperature sensor)
The pyrometer measures the mean temperature of a
circular surface, diameter 30 cm (11.8"), straight in
front of the pyrometer. Try to cover this area with the
surface of the object being heated. There may other-
wise be large deviations between the programmed
values and the values obtained.
If the reference value and the current value deviate
more than 30 o C/54 o F you will read "Heating failure"
in the display. NB! This alarm only functions when
"Program High" has been selected. Press "0" to set
to zero and check the measure point of the pyrome-
ter. The reference value is the temperature curve that
has been programmed in the machine. The current
value is thus the instantaneous value that tries to
follow the programmed temperature curve.
Turning off the pyrometer
Whilst a drying programme is in progress, press the
cursor up/down keys simultaneously for approx. two
seconds. The mobile dryer will now work at half
power during preheating according to the predefined
time and at full power during final drying according
to the predefined time. This method can be appropri-
ate when drying surfaces which are difficult to
measure with the pyrometer.
The pyrometer is automatically turned ON again at
the end of the drying programme. Press the cursor
up/down simultaneously for about two seconds to
reconnect during the same drying cycle.
