About Local Programming Devices (Local PDs)
Local PDs are used to authenticate administrators of a locking system when
logging in to, and programming keys in administration software such as CLIQ
Web Manager (CWM).
A Local PD has two key slots; the left slot is for C-keys and the right slot is for user
keys. To login, the administrator inserts a C-key in a Local PD that is connected via
a USB port to a PC with the administration software.
Installing Local PDs

Ensure that the Windows user account that is currently logged in has
Administrator access rights.

Connect the USB cable from the Local PD to the PC.

Verify that the drivers are downloaded and installed automatically.
Note!
Make a note of the assigned COM port that is displayed in the notification area.
When logging in to CWM, select the assigned COM port if CWM fails to find the
COM port automatically.
Example: STMicroelectronics Virtual COM Port (COM7).

If the drivers are not installed automatically, you will have to download and
install them from the following website:
