INSTALLATION

SETTING UP THE MAIN UNIT (RECEIVER)
BATTERY INSTALLATION
Slide to open the battery door , install 6 pieces of
AA batteries according to the polarity indicated and
close the battery door .
LOCAL WEATHER FORECAST & PRESSURE
SETTING
A pressure sensor is built in the main unit to provide
local pressure reading & local weather forecast back-
up. After battery installation, the main unit will enter
pressure setting mode in the following sequence.
Pressure unit (mb / hPa or inHg) > Current sea level
pressure > Current local weather condition > Exit

SETTING UP THE REMOTE SENSOR

BATTERY INSTALLATION
Loosen the screws  on the battery door with a small
screw driver, insert 2 pieces of AAA batteries according
to the polarity indicated. Replace the cover and tighten
the screws  after the RF setting below.
ESTABLISH RF CONNECTION WITH MAIN UINIT
• Place the main unit away from metal & source of
interference such as mobile phones, appliances,
TV etc.
• For the irst installation, turn on the main unit and
then the remote sensor. Set Channel 1 for the irst
remote sensor . Set channel 2 and channel 3 for
the 2nd and 3rd sensor (W186-F – 313505.00).
• Hold [CHANNEL/SEARCH]  button on main unit
until a beep is sound to search for remote sensor.
The corresponding channel number on the display
will lash indicating it is in the searching mode.
• Press the [Tx]  button inside the battery com-
partment of remote sensor to transmit RF signal.
• When RF connection is established, the respec-
tive temperature of the selected channel (A) will
appear on the main unit.
• Replace the cover and tighten the screws on the
remote sensor.

Note: Additional sensor (W-186F – 313505.00) its
for several weather stations and is able to gauge
temperature and humidity. The main unit (W194-1)
displays the temperature only.

The corresponding icon will lash. Press [] 5 or
[] 6 to select, press [BARO] 8 to conirm each
setting.
Note:
• Please check the current sea level pressure rea-
ding of your location from weather web site.
• Please select current weather condition of your
location between sunny, partly cloudy, cloudy,
rainy or stormy.
• You may also enter the local weather forecast &
pressure setting any time by holding the [BARO]
8 button for 3 seconds. (Details also refer to the
"BAROMETRIC PRESSURE & LOCAL WEATHER
FORECAST" section).

USB TRANSMITTER & PC PROGRAM

BATTERY INSTALLATION & USB CONNECTION
• Slide to open the battery door  on the bottom
of the USB transmitter, insert 2 pieces of AAA
batteries according to the polarity indicated.
Close the battery door.
• Connect USB transmitter to your PC via an USB
port.
PC PROGRAM INSTALLATION
• Before installation, ensure that
1) Your PC is connected to the Internet. Try
browsing through a couple of websites to
make sure.
2) You are using Windows 2000 XP, Vista or
Windows 7.
3) USB transmitter is connected properly to your
PC via the USB port.
• Insert CD into your CD ROM and double click the
"INSTALL_1940.EXE" or "NIS01_ INSTALL_1940.
EXE" program to start installation. If the instal-
lation program detected that Microsoft .NET
Framework 2.0 driver was not installed in your
Windows before, it will prompt you to install the
driver. Follow the instruction to install the driver
and complete the rest of the installation.
